A huge cultural hub, make sure you visit Sharjah Heritage Museum, where you can learn more about the history of the city, and King Faisal Mosque, which is the largest mosque in the city.
Ras Al Khaimah
With its looming Jebel Jais Mountains, which is home to the world’s longest zipline, to its flamingo-filled mangroves, Ras Al Khaimah (also known as RAK) is a favoured staycation destination. The northernmost emirate, make sure you hike Wadi Shawka and visit a pearl farm, before relaxing on one of the sandy beaches.
