Top places to visit during your Thailand trip from Dubai
With so many places to visit during your trip to Thailand, you’ll be hard-pushed deciding where to go! With the country known for its ornate temples, pristine beaches and delicious food, luckily, wherever you choose to visit, you’ll get to enjoy a combination of all three.
1. Bangkok
With most flights from the UAE landing in Bangkok, keep at least a couple of days free to navigate this metropolis. Home to more than 10 million people, get to the heart of Thailand by tucking into delicious dishes at the various food markets, watching the sunset over Wat Arun from a rooftop bar, and touring the temples, with the most famous ones being the Grand Palace, with its ornate golden roof, and Wat Pho, with its gigantic reclining buddha.
2. Phuket
Venture south from the capital on your Thailand package holiday, and you’ll hit the island of Phuket – a holidaymaker’s paradise. Perfect for kids, couples, and groups of friends, spend some time at the ethical Green Elephant Sanctuary Park, marvel at the buildings and museums of Phuket Old Town, and relax on Bangtao Beach, with its white sand literal perfection.
3. Krabi
Krabi is another must-see on any of our Thailand trips, acting as the gateway to the Phi Phi Islands, which you can reach in under an hour by ferry. Back on mainland Krabi, venture to Thapom Klong Song Nam Khlong Song, which is situated in a swampy forest, and offers crystal clear waters you can take a dip in, as well as mangrove ecosystems that you can kayak down; and hike the Tab Kak Hang Nak Hill trail, for some of the best views in the region.
4. Koh Samui
If you’ve still got time to spare when on one of our Thailand tours from Dubai, make sure you check out Koh Samui. The largest island in the Gulf of Thailand, try local delicacies like coconut ice cream and kalamae, which is another coconut treat; and discover some of the island’s many waterfalls, with Nam Tok Na Muang a popular spot for swimming.
