Tbilisi
Whether you plan to travel to Georgia from Dubai for just a few short days or a couple of weeks, you should set some time aside for the capital. A fusion of old-meets-new, discover the crumbling streets dating back to the Ottoman era, mixed in with the futuristic Peace Bridge and Presidential Palace. But one of the best things to do in Tbilisi is head to the Mother Georgia monument, to watch the sunset over the city.
Batumi
Georgia’s biggest seaside resort, and the capital of the Adjara region, escape the hustle and bustle with a day at the secluded Green Cape Beach, with its golden sands and shallow waters; or head to Gonio Beach, which is lined with chic cafes, bars, and restaurants; and is a popular spot for divers.
Uplistsikhe
An hour and a half outside of Tbilisi, Uplistsikhe cave town is well worth a visit on one of our Georgia tourism packages. Dating back to the end of the second millennium BC, it’s one of the oldest cave towns in the country. With several tour operators offering trips here, you can either visit with a guide, or go by yourself, and you’ll be able to discover what life used to be like for the traders and merchants that lived here all those years ago.
Kutaisi
A Georgia tourism package would be incomplete without a visit to the country’s second biggest city, which is home to Bagrati Cathedral, which dates back to the 11th century, and Galati Monastery, both of which are UNESCO-protected. Kutaisi operates as a perfect base for your Georgia trip, to explore the Imereti region, which is home to the jaw-dropping Prometheus Caves, Katskhi Pillar, and more.
Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)
The closest mountainous area to Tbilisi, and just 12km away from the Russian border, there’s no doubt about it: Kazbegi is one of the most picturesque spots in all of Georgia. The mountain peaks loom over the town, and are often covered in a veil of fog. Here, you’ll not only find the perfect opportunity for hiking, but the picturesque Gergeti Trinity Church is located here, too.
Gudauri
If you want to spend part of your holiday package to Georgia skiing, then look no further than Gudauri. Enjoy 50km of slopes as you ski or snowboard your way down the mountains, whether you’re a beginner or complete pro. When you’ve had your fill of snow sports, why not go paragliding, head to one of the saunas, or go on a day trip to Kazbegi, which is an hour’s drive away?
